Resources

We have a limited number of 2008 Beach to Beacon 10k registrations available in exchange for a minimum fundraising commitment of $500. In order to receive your race registration through CEEF, we ask that your donation or fundraising dollars be sent to CEEF by June 1st.

To easily and securely manage your fundraising online, please visit www.firstgiving.com/ceef or send a check to CEEF. Race registrations will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis once the full donation amount has been received by CEEF. All donations excluding the standard $30 Beach to Beacon entrance fee are fully tax deductible as allowed by law.

This year, the participant with the highest fundraising effort will be awarded an IPod Nano. If more than one participant qualifies, the winner of the IPod Nano will be determined by a random drawing from the names of qualified participants.

Pasta with PurposeOver 300 people loaded up on spaghetti and other carbs at the first CEEF-hosted Pasta with Purpose dinner on Saturday, May 31st. Even more than that number packed the Pond Cove gym that night to get a glimpse of some of the most exciting programs being offered within Cape schools. More than 20 teacher- and student-led demonstrations simultaneously entertained, educated and intrigued the busy room. Kids bounced on yoga balls while enjoying a World Languages slide show. Community members of all ages learned of exciting changes to take place in our high school cafeteria, while remote-controlled Lego Robotics cars zoomed by them on the floor. Twenty-first century technology dazzled many, with the Smartboard inviting fingers to do the learning interactively, learning about Pasta with Purposemath & library science in the process.

A huge success, the event offered last-minute registration opportunity to Pond Cove 5K Challenge runners as well as race packet pick-up. CEEF partnered with the Pond Cove Parent Association and the Middle School Parent Association to host the event's grant celebration, and proudly benefited from the generous sponsorship Willows & Market Fresh Produce to provide the spaghetti dinner.

The Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation, founded in 2001, is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to fostering innovation and excellence in our schools. In a time of under funded budgets in public education, we are fortunate to live in a community that values excellence in education. CEEF strives to meet these goals by funding initiatives outside the school budget, partnering with the school district to help achieve its vision and building community-wide support for the benefit of our schools. Since inception CEEF has awarded over $590,000 in grants.
